Pricing

There are four ways to pay for DaDesktop:

1. Public cloud (from 3 EUR a day)
2. Private server (from 10 EUR a day)
3. Reseller or volume purchasing (from 0.1 EUR a day)
4. On-premises
    

Public Cloud

Desktops are billed daily, starting at 3 EUR per day for a basic Linux desktop with 8GB RAM, 8-core CPU, and 50GB SSD storage.

Each additional 8GB RAM, 8-core CPU, and 50GB storage adds an extra 3 EUR.

Windows machines incur an extra 1 EUR per day. If you have your own licence, you won’t need to pay this fee.

NB Daily charges are calculated within 24 hours from midnight, local server time.

 

Private Server

If you’d prefer fixed costs regardless of how many desktops you run or what resources you assign to each, you can purchase an entire server.

In this scenario, you’re only limited by the server’s resources, not by units or the number of desktops.

Reseller or volume discounts

Discounts of up to 80% are available for resellers and volume purchases.

This option is typically for companies looking to:

1. Integrate DaDesktop with your product
2. Resell it
3. Purchase in high volumes 
    

On-premise

Standard pricing for on-premises deployment is 6 EUR per core.

 

Public Cloud Case Scenarios

Case 1

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB storage for 8 hours in a single day.

Total cost: 3 EUR

Case 2

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage for a couple of hours each day over 5 days.

Total cost: 5 days × 3 EUR = 15 EUR

Case 3

1. A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. Desktop is deleted
3. Another desktop with the same configuration is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total cost: 3 EUR

Case 4

1. A person uses an Ubuntu standalone desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. Desktop is deleted
3. Another desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

2 machines used, differing in configuration spec:

Machine 1 = 3 EUR

Machine 2 = 6 EUR

Total cost: 3 + 6 = 9 EUR

1. A person uses an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB storage for 1 hour
2. Desktop is deleted
3. Another desktop by the same participant or trainer with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total cost: 6 EUR 

 

Courses

For Public Cloud and Reseller options, Courses are billed to the Organization Owner based on users who created desktops during the duration of the course.

Trainers

• If the Trainer gets invited to the course, the Organization Owner will be billed for the course.
• If the Trainer creates the course, the Trainer will be billed for it.

• To summarise, the Organisation owner of the course created is billed for the course.
