Create From Standalone Desktop

  1. Head over to the course you've set up — we've used a demo course here as an example. Then select the Desktops tab, click the dropdown arrow, and choose "Create from Standalone" to get your Fresh Start underway.

  2. Pick the Standalone desktop you've previously used to set up your course environment (software, course materials, quizzes, etc.)
  3. If needed, you can adjust the memory, CPU, and increase the disk size during this step. Click "Create desktop".

  4.  Your Fresh Start is now good to go. Both trainers and participants can clone desktops from it.

Essentially, a Fresh Start acts as a master desktop in the course that you can clone out to all participants and the trainer in one hit. Anyone in the course can restore from the Fresh Start if they need to.

Under the 'Cog' menu, you'll find plenty more options: you can clone your Fresh Start to a trainer, participant, or standalone machine, as well as clone and resize it to a standalone. There's also the ability to shift the Fresh Start to another server, take Snapshots, check Recordings, or set up a Remote Replica.

Have a look at the relevant documentation for more details on these features.
