Using Desktop as a Chrome Application

A common hassle when you're using your desktop in a browser tab is that certain shortcut keys (e.g. Ctrl+W, Ctrl+F4) get pinched by the browser itself.

The easy fix is to create an application using Chrome (or Chromium) browsers.

 

1. Head to More Tools and select 'Create shortcut...' to add it to your desktop.

2. Tick 'Open as window' when creating the shortcut.

 

3. Fire up your application by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop.

4. Use your application and enjoy your key shortcuts working properly.
